We have ours set up with closed ports, so in addition to having a unique surname and password to access the camera, you also HAVE to be connected to our home wifi network to connect to the camera.

<description>&#60;p&#62;No advice on the Motorola front. I've heard their customer service is excellent and I was looking at getting one.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;I would be extremely hesitant about anything over the wifi. There's been lots of news articles about people hacking the feed and talking back to the babies or yelling at them. It happened on private Internet with passwords. So for me, I would never go that route.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;I think there is a summer infant brand double monitor/video I've heard good things about.

That said, we need to buy another camera for LO2 and I haven't decided if we'll do another Motorola or something like the foscam that could maybe be used as a security camera later.

Since the boys were older at that point and we didn't need to keep a monitor on all the time, we replaced it with a Foscam camera that we can use our iPhones and iPad to monitor. Works great!

But I bought it more than 2 years ago and I went through my email and I can't find my receipt (which is super weird since I bought it online). I think it will be too far out of warranty for them to do anything plus I need the receipt!!

<description>&#60;p&#62;We were kind of in the same boat!  We bought the monitor with one camera about two years ago. Then added a 2nd camera when our 2nd son was born about a year ago.  One of the cameras died on us suddenly (the newer one) so I called Amazon (where we bought it).  They suggested we contact Motorola first to see what could be done.  Even though we were just outside of the 1 year warranty time period, they still were willing to honor the warranty and send us a new one.  They were very accommodating so I would call them and see what they would be willing to do for you!
