I've had two losses so I'm sorry you experienced one! I've been on progesterone supplements for my pregnancies, but it seems the OB isn't concerned unless it's below 10 I think? Wishing you a sticky and healthy 9 months!

@pachamama: Congrats on your healthy pregnancy and thanks for sharing. I spoke to a nurse at my reproductive endocrinologist's office and she actually said that they don't treat progesterone unless it's under 9. Let's hope this one sticks!

@Sadieloo: my progesterone was also very low,I believe 18. My doctor told me what I eat could affect it and the progesterone test is not a reliable indicator of baby's "stickiness". I would not stress. I am 25 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby boy!

@Tidybee: yes, hi stranger! Thanks for sharing your experience. I will have to call them back tomorrow. I've read the research supporting the use of progesterone is mixed, but it can't hurt, right? And congrats on #2!!!

@Sadieloo: umm hi stranger!!!!
I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I too had a few losses n between 1 and 2. My progesterone was always low...the highest it ever was was 13 with my now 3 month old. And they put me on supplements until 12 weeks so I would definitely advocate for yourself and push for the progesterone. It can't hurt.

@MrsKRB: Thanks for sharing! I asked my nurse and have yet to hear back. At the end of the day, this is their business so I suppose I should trust them. Then again, if there is something I can do to help me out, I want to know!

It seems like it could be on the lower side, but I'm not a doctor! I think my doctor said anything over 15, ideally 20.

@Truth Bombs: Yes - that seems to be the prevailing wisdom on the internet. I think my progesterone was on the lower side with my son too, so I am hoping that it is just my "normal" and hopefully the nurse will get back to me ASAP!

My doc likes to supplement progesterone if you are below 20. Some docs supplement below 17/18. So at 14, I do think a supplement would be a good idea. But your beta numbers are awesome so that's positive news.

Hi wise mamas! Looking for personal experiences (ideally positive ones) and words of wisdom. I miscarried in the spring and am finally pregnant again. I'm a bit paranoid this time around and am being followed by an RE. Had bloods taken today and my betas increased from 868 to 16,496 in a week (I'm about 6 weeks) but my progesterone dropped from 20 to 14. Isn't this low? I asked whether it would be good to go on progesterone and nurse has yet to get back to me.
