I had my DD#1 at 34w5d (water broke) and I will take the shots until 36 weeks with this pregnancy. I'm currently 23 weeks &amp; 4 days. They don't hurt. I was all freaked out, but I haven't had any pain and no crazy side effects. I'm hoping they can prevent pre term labor! With her first, labor started (and couldn't be stopped) at 31 weeks for no apparent reason. When she got pregnant the second time, she did the shots and didn't deliver until 36/37 weeks. Did they help?</p> <p>I haven't met with the perinatologist yet, but progesterone shots have been discussed as a possibility for this pregnancy because of preterm labor/ shortened cervix last pregnancy. </p>
