I was on progesterone until 9 weeks - I had been told that I'd be on it until 12 but they tested my levels at 9 and I guess they were high enough that they were confident that I no longer needed the supplementing, which is probably what happened with you as well.

I had a frozen transfer and was on PIO injections until 7 weeks and crinone suppositories until 10 or 11 weeks (he told me to wait till I saw my OB to stop).
I wasn't on estradiol for the transfer at all, only for retrieval. Is that weird? Maybe I'm wrong. It's been so long now!

For this medicated FET (early positive here) I'm told to stay on E2 and P4 until 12 weeks. x

Fresh cycles you shouldn't need additional support (though I stayed on progesterone for 12 weeks to be safe)

For both my fresh and frozen transfers I stayed in progesterone for 10-12 weeks. My estrace I think I stopped after the first ultrasound each time (around 6 weeks).

Eta- that seems like an awesome progesterone number! Even supplemented mine was only ever in the 30s or so!

@agold: Oh, your response reminds me. I did have some SCH bleeding at 8 weeks so my RE told me to increase my PIO injections to twice a day. It was fun. :meh:

@Amorini: My doctor said that placenta will have already taken over by the time I stop, so 10 weeks seems about on par with what I've been told.

I don't know if a fresh vs. FET cycle would have made a difference with what I was on, except that I do know fresh cycle would have only required one PIO shot a day, whereas FET required two PIOs a day.

thanks ladies for all your responses! I wonder if it's because I conceived during a fresh cycle vs FET, like how @agold mentioned?

At 11dp5dt, my estradiol was 1835 and progresterone was over 120.

@TeamJH: I wonder if it matters that some of us here did medicated FETs. I know for myself, I had Lupron suppression with BCPs before the FET so there was no way my ovaries were producing anything to support the embies. Maybe it is different for you!

@agold: You're right, they are all so different!

My lead RE says until 9 weeks, also when I graduate from the RE to the OBGYN. That just seems soooo soon and also the other RE who I sometimes consult with on gray areas thinks that 10 weeks is best because that is when the placenta takes over ... so I am finagling enough of both (Estrace and Crinone) until I'm 10 weeks.

I am on PIO and estrogen injections until tomorrow(!!) - which will be about the 12.5 week mark for me. My RE keeps me on it all the entire time I'm with him. The timing he uses is based upon when he says the placenta takes over for itself. But all doctors do all IVF things differently so I couldn't say that one way is more right over another.

Hey ladies, had a quick question- how long were you on Endometrin (progesterone) and Estrace (estradiol) after a beta? I had my 2nd beta at 11dp5dt, and my doctor told me to stop both medications. I was happy to stop both at first, but now I'm a little worried since it seems a lot earlier than most ladies here on the boards. Does anyone know what the estrogen and progesterone lab levels should be before we should stop the meds? A little nervous since I'm still in the early stages of the pregnancy and want to make sure my embryo has all the cushioning/support needed.
