@Pebbles: It went great! My dr had me on progesterone suppositories twice a day through 12 weeks, then it was a very uneventful pregnancy after that. My DD is 17 months, and I'm 28 weeks with my second now. Dr automatically put me on progesterone with this one too, didn't even bother testing.

@kayla0416: Thank you! that's helpful and makes sense! I really think under 10 is not ideal. How did your pregnancy go? Any complications?

@snarkybiochemist: It is a fertility specialist, I am supposed to start fertility meds in December if not pregnant by then.
I am just so impatient and ready to be pregnant.

My doctor said that anything above 5 on CD 21 indicated that you did ovulate, but that anything below 10 would not be high enough to support a pregnancy (likely to miscarry). On my CD 21 test I got 8.2, and my dr basically said, "congrats, you ovulated!", but then 3 days later when I got a positive pregnancy test, she immediately put me on progesterone.

@Pebbles: are you seeing an RE or just an ob if it's the latter I would ask about seeing an RE. They are much more finely intuned with how cycles work and things like PCOS. I only ever had my progesterone tested on medicated cycles where they wanted my levels 10-15.

I got a positive ovulation pee test on cycle day 14 and went in on cycle day 21 and got a 7.0.

I have only ever had a positive ovulation test the one time. My doctor told me if I didn't have a positive ovulation test to go in on cycle day 21 regardless.
Which I then got a 9. The lack of positive ovulation tests, my PCOS, and the numbers below 10 make me think I'm not ovulating?

How many DPO were you when they did the blood test? Blood work on CD 21 will only be accurate if you ovulate on CD 14.

What number indicates ovulation on cycle day 21?

First time was 7 ng/ml.
Second time was 9 ng/ml.

Doctor doesn't seem concerned. He says I am young (28) and it indicated ovulation because it was above 5. Everything I am reading says above 10 is what you want.
I have only ever had one positive ovulation pee stick and that was the month I had a 7.0ng/ml.

Also to note: I have PCOS with irregular periods and have been trying for well over a year. I have been eating low carb/keto and my periods have been coming much more frequently.
