@delight: like just lots of random feelings in the uterus region, tightness, heaviness... And it's not all the time either. I also have been emotional, picky with food... Just stuff like that and none of its major. I just don't want to get my hopes up and then be let down. I should really just ignore all of it and move on with life until testing day 😬

@Weswife: I just went back and looked at my chart notes for this BFP cycle. On 8 & 9 DPO I did write down that I had "lots of symptoms": light cramping, acid reflux (which I never get) and waking up hungry. I tested positive at 10dpo. Not sure if I can contribute any to the P, I don't think it made me feel any different. What are you feeling?

@Weswife: yes I get cramps before AF. Have you stopped the progesterone yet? Sorry I didn't reply yesterday. You aren't hopeless. You will have your baby. Here's my story: birth control 15 years, then pregnant second month off. Miscarriage at 8 weeks. Three cycles later pregnant with my DD. Became pregnant again when she was 1 but that baby was sick and I lost her at 22 weeks. Worst time of my life. It took us 9 months again to get pregnant but then I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks (this past October). That is when we were referred to a specialist and we did lots of testing and I was put on progesterone and daily low dose aspirin. I was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve and we were booked for our orientation for IUI/IVF in March. Found out in February I was pregnant and I am 15 weeks now with a healthy baby. There is always hope. I know it is frustrating seeing everyone around you get pregnant and after a loss all you want is to be pregnant again. I've been there. Trust in your body and in your doctors and keep the faith. I hope it happens for you soon. :goodluck:

@delight: it was a specialist my obgyn was out of the office. But here's my story. I was on birth control for ten years. Off for 5 months. We only tried the last two to get pregnant and on the second month it worked. Mc at almost 11 weeks baby was 8.5. No reason of why. Took nine weeks to get my first period. Then a 49 day cycle. (It was so long I was convinced I was pregnant). Oh also didn't track or anything my first pregnancy. Just used a app ( I know more now then I thought I ever would). Track ovulation but didn't have success during nine weeks... Then during 49 day cycle. Then this cycle track got a weak positive but a positive on the clear blue. Took progesterone... Now here I am five months later. Hopeless 😞

@Weswife: I started taking them in December after our first appointment with a fertility specialist for recurrent losses. For the first two cycles I started them at 3dpo and stopped them around 13dpo after getting negatives. I had always had my positives previously by 10dpo. Once I stopped I got my period within a couple of days. So December and January my luteal phase was 14/15 days. Before progesterone I was lucky to get 10 days. I got pregnant on the February cycle. My doctor had given me a 3 month supply to start and then extended it when I was pregnant.

I'm sorry you got a negative. Your luteal phase is just the time between ovulation and your period. Have you been charting your cycles? How many DPO are you now? Was it just a family doctor that gave you progesterone or a specialist? I hope that you find something that will work for you.

@delight: how long were you on them? Also how do you find out how long your luteal phase is? I got a negative and I am completely heartbroken. My doctor said he wanted to schedule and appt. and the soonest I can get in is 2 months from now. I am not a happy camper... How did you get to take them monthly?

I've had to insert pills vaginally for other reasons, and I've also done the crinone gel/cream/whatever it is.

I would lay down on my back for both.
For the pill I would pretty much insert it as far as my finger would go before hitting much resistance. Everyone is different (I imagine) so you may have to adjust the first couple of times to figure out what is comfortable for you.

I did prefer to do it at night right before bed so I could keep laying down after. But for the crinone my doc did eventually say he preferred them to be done in the morning. Something about movement and body temperature making them absorb better. But not sure if a pill would be the same.

And lastly - ask your doctor! If she wants it at your cervix that will tell you it has to go pretty far up. But if she only wants it a couple inches in that will be much easier.

Oh and this is random but at the drug store you may be able to find these little things that almost look like finger condoms 😂 Usually in the first aid section. I know it shouldn't bother me, but I really don't like the way it feels up there and I was worried about bacteria and stuff. So I used those little finger condom things to insert stuff up there and to help "clean out" the old crinone.
There is a term for them that is escaping me. Definitely not finger condom.

Mine were like @jaguar , waxy pessaries that I would put in at night, lie down for half an hour and they melt inside. I would wear thick panty liners (like those light bladder leakage ones) but sometimes the waxy oiliness would make them unstick. GROSS!! Leakage when you go to the toilet, and it solidifies when it hits cold water too!
