I don't use the pressure cooker function as often as I thought I would (pressure cooked food seems to come out ugly, maybe I'm just not doing it right :D ). I assemble everything night before if possible and turn it on at the last possible minute. The food is usually done cooking by 2pm and site at "warm" for another 4 hours! I've heard of people using an outlet timer (the kind you use when you go away and want your lights to come on during the evening or whatever) to start the crockpot later, but that wouldn't work with mine because I have to physically push the buttons to start it. Ours is programmable to cook for a certain amount of time and then just switch to warm.
