We have a spitter upper and are being followed by a pediatric gi specialist Bc he has GERD. The gi specialist said you agent seen true projectile spit up until you've seen the exorcist (movie). So I think anything short of that is in the range of normal. The first episode sounds like she ate too much too fast for sure.

Totally normal. DS spit up/vomited sooo much in the early weeks that it was worried it was my diet. But it was usually when he nursed too much or didn't burp (he had to burp like 3 times). He vomited right in front of the lactation consultant and she wasn't fazed at all.

J did this the night after he got his 2 month vaccines. I think that he was in a funk from the shots and so he was comfort nursing a lot. When I finally stopped him from nursing and put him down in the RNP he projectile vomited everywhere. I've never seen anything like it.

Funny enough, except for one occasion, every time our daughter has done this it's when her dad was holding her!

We've had the same thing happen with both kids. With my DS I noticed that the vomiting always happened around growth spurts so I chalked it up to their inner organs growing/adapting too. It was always just a day max. 2 for both kids.

E did this and I called the dr in a panic. They said it usually seems like a lot more than it really is. But omg it filled a blanket! I think as long as she doesn't have a fever and has wet diapers I wouldn't worry unless it continues to happen.

E has done this a couple of times. The only thing my doctor could think of was he ate too much too fast without enough burps. E is an impatient dude for food so getting a good burp is hard but super important if I don't want to wear it. Plus after it all comes up he is hungry again.... :meh:

Following - L has done this 3 times and it always comes out of nowhere and is a huge amount of liquid. I have no idea why!

I can count on one hand how many times my newborn has spit up in the last month (seriously - 3x).

a couple nights ago she slept almost 5 hours, ate from both sides for awhile, and wouldn't burp. she then projectile vomited through the side of the co sleeper in our bed but went right back to sleep (while we cleaned up!). it didn't seem to bug her. I chalked it up to laying down without burping.

early this am (4?), she nursed a few minutes like normal, burped immediately and fell asleep on my chest immediately after nursing. I was sitting playing on my phone to give her some time to stay upright. all of a sudden she started gagging and i turned on my light and she was vomiting like an adult would. heaving and just tons and tons of vomit EVERYWHERE. I felt so sad for her :(

she didn't cry but what the heck? is this just random, or something in my diet??
