It was insane the amount that would come out. It wasn't every feed but when she did it seemed like everything she ate came out. She grew out of it after a couple of months and it wasn't allergy it reflux related. I definitely had an oversupply as well. My LO would some times spit up what looked like half of what she just took in! It wasn't super forceful but there was times where it was A LOT. Pressure on the tummy, too much movement, bottle too far in mouth... My DD however does it on occasion. Usually it seems she overeats, coughs/gags then it all comes up in a huge spew of milk. I only ever nurse her on one side but I know i have a forceful letdown. And she is never upset when it happens. She does it a lot less now but it still happens every so often still at almost 8 months. In fact, she JUST did it while i was laying with her in her bed, nursing her to sleep. :bummed: As a newborn, maybe it happened once a week. It slowed down around 3-4 months and now it happens like once every couple weeks-once a month. </p> <p>@lawbee11: this is exactly what my DD does, too. Just eats too much, coughs and it projectiles out. My interim ped sucks (while the regular one is on medical leave) so he wasn't very helpful, but luckily its seeming to resolve itself. She is EBF and it would come out very forcefully - through her nose and all, but my main concern was the amount. Unfortunately it didn't stop until around 4 months. She was EBF and would nurse then start coughing/gagging and it would just spew out. It looked like a lot...basically the entire feeding would come back up. Nursing her more upright helped (though this is difficult til they have better head control) and I would also only nurse one side at a time. I think it was from oversupply/forceful letdown. She was a happy spitter and would spit everything up and it didn't bother her at all.
