It's stomach flu season.... we had a major bought of it two weeks ago. Hydration is key - water in tiny sips every five minutes helped tremendously.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and comments. It's been about two hours now and no vomiting. I've been nursing him for about two minutes every twenty minutes. We've decided that if things take a turn for the worse we'll take him to the ER, but as of now we'll just wait til the morning to call the ped.

My husband projectile vomited as a baby because he had pyloric stenosis but he was much younger than 9 months old when it happened. Hopefully your LO stops vomiting soon. Maybe it's just a weird virus?

I don't have any experience but I just wanted to say I hope your LO feels better!

I am a total worry wart Drama Queen and always err on the side of "better safe than sorry" so I would probably try to get my LO in to see a Dr if possible - either at an urgent care clinic or even the ER. But I freaked out the one time my daughter had a fever:) So I may not be the best person to give advice:)

My daughter has only projectiled like twice in a night. Seven times sounds excessive...I'd prolly go to the e.r. or something. Definitely make sure she's hydrated by giving her some pedialyte or something. I bet she caught a bug or something.

So my 9 month old DS started projectile vomiting about 3 hours ago and has done so 6 times since then! He's projectile vomited before (once last week, the other time two weeks ago) but only once at each occasion. He doesn't seem to have a fever and in general he seems like himself (of course it's bedtime, so he's getting a little fussy and sleepy). I called our nurse line and she said to try to feed him for 3 min at a time every 30-60 min and not to take him to the hospital unless it continues over the next several hours.

Has anyone experienced this before? I am freaking out! Is this just one of those (unbelievably gross and traumatic) things that happens to babies?
