My daughter received speech therapy in Chicago until we relocated last fall, and it made a huge difference for her. The news actually came out in February, but I missed it.</p> <p>Gov. Rauner's proposed budget cuts would change eligibility from a 30% delay to a 50% delay to qualify for services. It's estimated that 10,000 children would be cut from the EI program if it passes.</p> <p>I will be contacting my local representatives and telling them I oppose the cuts. IL residents, if you are so inclined, please contact your representatives as well. </p>
