I guess those Caribbean roots made me that way. :) There were some things professionally and personally that we wanted to do in early 2012, which stopped us from starting then. Also DH was born within days of Christmas and does not enjoy that, so we did avoid December. It took a long time for my cycles to regulate after bcp and then my step-dad got sick so timing the due date was the last thing on our minds. That would mean I am only 6 months prego for my brother's wedding in Hawaii (I should still be able to travel at 6 months, right?) and will have been practicing law for 5 years (don't want to have a baby too soon, and 5 years seems like a nice round number). And, we want our kid to have an early in the academic year birthday so that they're slightly older in his/her class. I'm kind of excited that I managed to avoid having to purchase winter maternity clothes, though. </p>
