@Smurfette: Yea! Great update! If she likes that, I actually make up ahead little letter pasta, with a veggie sauce and you could add the meat. I freeze individual portions in glass containers in the freezer for her and just reheat as needed.

PS Shredded carrots are great in spaghetti sauce to make the sauce sweeter and they can't pick them out!

I gave her some leftover ground beef with spaghetti sauce and some noodles. Day care said that she ate every last drop. Her teacher mixed her carrots cause she wasn't eating them, just wanted the noodles and meat. So maybe more sauces are the key!

@Smurfette: peanut butter! As you know, Sadie is PIIIIICKY, but she loves peanut butter. I put a little on her lip, and then just watched her for 20 minutes just to make sure there weren't any allergies. She loves Ritz crackers, so I'll put a little bit on the crackers and she KILLS THEM. I spread it super thin. Also, greek yogurt is pretty high in protein.

My kids love meatballs because they are easy to chew. Great place to also sneak veggies in. They also love soy beans and tofu? You can get pressed tofu at places like Trader Joe that are seasoned.. they like that as well. Also you can try sneaking egg into stuff like oatmeal. It tastes really good.

@Smurfette: My LO is the same. She will eat fish sometimes, especially if i put a breadcrumb crust on the outside. I tried it with chicken but she wasnt being fooled. She LOVES black beans in mexican dishes. Try that? She'll eat beans out of chili too.

Greek yogurt is very high in protein. I usually buy plain full fat greek yogurt and then blend it with frozen berries to make a yummy smoothie.

and LOL to "who doesn't like ranch dressing?!" I agree! I'd eat anything dipped in ranch!

B didn't love eggs to begin with- but I just kept giving him fried yolks for breakfast and now he eats it. (I think because I cook it in butter- he loves butter) He also loves pork loin/chop. He isn't very picky though- he wants to eat whatever we are eating- so at least he will try things.

What if you made ground chicken meatballs or something like that? (or you can even buy them from the grocery store premade) I find B likes anything covered in sauce. Also we do turkey/chicken sausage a lot - they have all kinds of flavors. Also we do a mild chili with ground turkey- I put it in the crockpot before work and its ready for dinner.

This being said- I am not actually home for dinner. I am at work and DH is in charge. I had to start making things the day before because when I would ask DH what he gave B for dinner, he would say, a cracker or something lame. Now I prep dinner for them both (something they can microwave). It sucks to do it at night when I get home (around 10) but at least they eat something more than crackers!

She loves chick peas. I sauté them with a little olive oil and sprinkle garlic powder on top. Then I cool them down and squish each one between my fingers so it's kind of flat.

@locavore_mama: We walk in the door, I change my clothes and it is dinner time. We get home usually around 530. And bottle is at 630, so I want to feed her ASAP. Plus I want to have 15 mins to play with her. It sucks I get like no time with her during the week. It is so hard.

@JoJoGirl: @Smurfette: My current go-to is a slice of cheese (sort of as an appetizer to keep LO busy while I get her meal prepped), followed by organic chicken strips or fish (which can be microwaved), and then at least one veggie (she usually only eats the pureed version - we are still working on her eating solid veggies, although I still offer at least one at meal time, usually green beans or peas), and then water/milk.

Fish might be a good option but my LO doesn't like tuna. She will eat a ton of salmon or other white fish but not tuna from a can. We actually started her on it by trying it from a restaurant.

Also, I know you said she wasn't into ground beef but have you tried it in various forms like tacos, meat loaf, etc?
