@T-Mom: Yes, anything inflatable, sleep, and infant together is scary. I think the self-inflating ones like they use for camping is better b/c they don't make it as thick as the ones they use for camping. We have the GoCrib and it also has a self-inflating mattress and I can blow it up so it's really hard. I'm guessing the new Peapod Plus one has one very similar to the GoCrib. I'll find out soon since they are going to try to ship me mine today. I can post a picture of it if I get it before our trip just to show everyone what the new mattress will look like. Hopefully it's obviously safer than what they had before which was a 3" hand pumped mattress.

@erwoo: ah ok! So does it seem like this will fix the issue they had with the original design? I don't have one, so it's hard for me to imagine. Anything inflatable for the little kids sounds a little scary due to suffocation risk?

@erwoo: is this in response to the recall?

I just called Kidco to check up on the status of their new sleep mats for their Peapod Plus sleep tents and they FINALLY just got them in. Sheesh...took long enough! I think I signed up to get the replacement months ago. Anyway, so I asked what the replacement is and it's basically a self-inflatable sleep mat (like those for camping) with some kind of support all around the side of the mat. I'm curious how it will look!

Just thought I would share for those also wondering where their replacement sleep mat is. We also have a GoCrib so we'll be using that for our upcoming trip. I actually love both and they both have it's pros and cons. :)
