Once it was when we were sent new cards they were intercepted on the way so of course we just thought they were a few days late (if we even thought of it) and by the time we realized something was up there were charges on the account. We had an issue with a different card using Expedia's phone customer service (only place we had used the card in forever) and then we were getting charged for "muscle milk" from some skeevy internet site. It was the only place I ever used that card. By the time I got my statement, there was also $400 in charges to my card. Took forever to get resolved (I hate MasterCard to this day for that experience) and now I'm suspect of iTunes. </p> <p>@birdofafeather: AmEx is fantastic about fraud detection and prevention. I called my bank but it was after hours so I called apple and found out that the person bought a yellow iPhone 5c and unfortunately it was already sent to them. I called my bank again realizing I should have reported the card stolen and they have opened an investigation and canceled my card. My bank also informed me that the person has also made additional charges that has not been posted to my online statement. </p> <p>So please check your statements for any strange charges. I hope no one has to go through this. </p>
