We are getting a tax refund this year thanks to shelling out big bucks for our fertility treatments in 2011!

So just making sure y'all are aware that if your medical expenses for the year are over 7.5% of your income, which includes infertility meds and procedures, they qualify as a tax deduction. So if you have a lot of insurance coverage or are doing IUI, the amount spent may not be high enough. But if you've paid out of pocket for an IVF cycle, you probably qualify! And hey, when the treatments work, you'll have a child tax credit the following year too ;)

Another IF financial tip: check on the status of your account after graduating from an RE. We found out we had $1500 in credit on our account that we would never have known if we hadn't called and requested a refund check!
