It made me a lot more comfortable when I had a student with a severe food allergy! He did give her benadryl and steroids and albuterol for the wheezing. The best thing though was throwing up and getting all of the allergen out of her tummy. Once she did that, she got better fairly rapidly.</p> <p>If I was home, she definitely would have gotten the epi pen.
