@yoursilverlining: Yeah, I'm probably going to buy a 50 pack of thank you cards from Target. It's cheaper, but if you think about the monetary value of it. These ink cards cost more. It might be computer printed but less personal because it not handwritten. I don't know. I think I need to get an ink card sent to me to see the quality and see how they compare to my cards from Target's 50 pack. I could argue that what you were going to write on a handwritten note would be the exact same message sent on an ink card. It's still can be personalized to the recipient. For me, it's not going to be a mass produced card that says 'Thank you for the gift! -Signed, your name.' At least, that's not what I would do.

I've used Postagram and liked it, and thought the quality was fine (and I love that the picture actually pops out of the card, so your recipient can keep just the photo if they want, without keeping the entire postcard, but IMO thank-you cards should be more personal and handwritten. I'm sure I'm old-fashioned this way, but I don't feel comfortable using them as thank-you cards.

@autumnlove: @Mamaof2: Oh, I don't know about the quality. I should have a card sent to myself to see.

One downside is that they don't have a website. You have to use your app on your phone or tablet.

@youboots: I believe I bought a package through one of these sites/apps. I have the app on my ipad which is at home.

I signed up because I like the ability to send cards (birthday and other events) without having to remember to go to a card shop. I think I bought a $10 plan (one-time).

Good idea to use it for thank you cards!

ETA: I looked and I bought a package through Sincerely and it looks like with Sincerely, I can buy cards through Ink or Postagram.

I told the ladies in my March group about these apps and wanted to share here too. @bluestripedbee got me thinking about thank you notes.

After we had the baby I felt like there was a steady stream of thank you's to send, but sitting down and working on cards felt like such a chore. I remembered my sister had send a photo with a message on the back, found it and looked up the info. There are two apps that are similar and awesome. Both apps are done all in phone... uploading a photo, writing a message, adding an address (it creates and address book as you add people) They also give tracking info, and update you when it is ordered, mailed & delivered. Postagram sends a square pop out photo and a message, it is $1 a postcard. Ink cards is more traditional and they have templates without photos I have sent Fathers Day cards, Birthday cards, Congratulations cards random prints to my grandma, Thank yous etc. Inked cards are $2 each. I love these apps and use them all the time. They make my mail process so much more streamlined. Plus for $1 a postcard, it is basically the same price as buying your own and adding a stamp. After the baby it was a game changer.

I told my cousin and her son sent out his graduation gift Thank Yous thru Ink.

I feel like I could write a whole blog post about them :)
