I learned my lesson. I leave nothing visible in my car and am kind of anal when friends riding with me try to leave things. Either it goes in the trunk or you take it with you. No break ins since even when coworkers parked near me have had a break in (and I drive a new 2016 car). I know bad luck can strike again, but mitigating risk is important. Our local police department just put a PSA out about this same thing today! They said that some people will stop at their destination and then put their belongings in the trunk thinking it's all safe, but the thieves still watch and break into your trunk. But its on a corner with two driveways. It's very easy access. Heck it's part of what's appealing to us as parents. It's in a good neighborhood!</p> <p>These things aren't happening in at risk neighborhoods. People in those area's aren't as likely to have the same things in their cars. The criminals are hitting areas that are easy access where trust is high. </p>
