@regberadaisy: Oh no! Poor thing. Puking is the worst. We're puking experts at this point, but have basically become dependent on Zofran, so I don't have much to offer besides sympathy. It's so sad to see them like that. Hope it passes soon!

@yin: @twodoghouse: @travelgirl1: ped said most likely a bacterial virus that's going around. Contagious so asked us to wash hands really well! She hasn't pee since at least 1pm, if not longer, so we were getting concerned. Ped suggested icee just to get some liquid in her. She finally peed (on my hand!) when I was taking her clothes off for bath time. Got her to drink a bit of pedialyte before bed. The nurse said not to Bf until she can keep clear liquids down. But...yeah....no food in her and she still nurses to sleep. So I offered the side she just nursed from 2 hours ago. Hoping she can keep pedialyte and a little breastmilk down!

@twodoghouse: I'm afraid of MOTN puking while she's laying down! Definitely keeping the video monitor on and opened all night!

One of my 19 month olds had the same issue overnight. I've been letting him nurse whenever he wants (which is near constant because he's not eating anything at all), but my supply is low so I know he's not getting a lot. He did throw up after nursing a few times MOTN, but it was mostly stomach bile once he got his stomach emptied out (sorry, I know that is gross!). He's also taking a little bit of water at a time and now he's keeping that down. No one else is sick around us either (including his twin sis... Yet), so I'm wondering if it's something he ate? He's not running a fever or anything else. The last time he threw up was 5 am (so he only had about 5 hrs of vomiting), but he's definitely still a bit weak and not quite himself. I hope your LO feels better soon!

When DD had a really bad vomiting bug she was about 15 months old. I remember being alarmed at how frequently she threw up so phoned Telehealth after about four hours and they said to take her to ER just to get her checked. They gave her a pill to stop the vomiting and their advice was to nurse if she wanted to and to give Pedialite slowly in a syringe. Hope she feels better soon!

My daughter (17 months) just went through this -- well, we all did but she is the youngest so it was most concerning to me for her. It's no fun. Hate stomach bugs! Hope your daughter makes a quick recovery. Watch for dehydration - otherwise it should be fine!

Watch how many wet diapers she makes - less than 3 in 24 hours is concerning. Nursing is good, can also try pedialyte. Small amounts at a time are better! Good luck.

DD2 (16 month) had to get picked up from daycare today because she threw up. She threw up 5x within 2 hours, starting around noon. It probably happened shortly after lunch. She was napping and woke up and threw up and wanted to go back to sleep. She's been out of it since, they said. Just wants to be held, laying down etc.

My eldest was never a puker so this is new territory. I know to not offer food and just sips of water but not until she stops throwing up frequently. I think nursing is Ok? If constant vomiting continues its a concern...one site said for 8 hours. That seems like a long time of frequent vomiting for a 16 month old?

She already has a sick appointment for tomorrow morning. No one around Us is sick. The only other person sick (that they know of) at daycare is in the toddler room and their paths don't cross.

:(
