Bumping because I'm having this exact problem! DD2 turns 9 months in the 7th and any purée she doesn't like she immediately pukes up, same with tyleon like your LO. 1/3 of a puff makes her gag and puke too.

I'm at a total loss since DD1 was already eating tons of table food by now!

I said this in your other thread but yes. And it was so frustrating. She would gag and throw up with puffs (cut in fourths), mum mums, yogurt melts, etc. I'm pretty sure it was psychological. She wasn't actually choking, but would gag with any sort of texture other than purées.

So LO eats pouches and some super small mushy carrots at 9 months but this kid can't even eat 1/4 of a puff or 1/2 of a yogurt bit or any food with any texture. She will gag herself while it is still in her mouth. (It is not like she is choking and this happens). Essentially she makes herself puke if she doesn't like it. (If we try and give her Tylenol she will make herself puke before the syringe is near her mouth).

Does anyone else have experience with this? Was your LO just a late eater? The pediatrician mentioned at her 9 month appt that we may have to send her to "food school" with a speech therapist.
