we use pull-ups (pull-up brand) just to differentiate from diapers. so he knows he's not suppose to pee in them, but it's ok if he does (and he does nightly!), if that makes sense.

We tried Earth's Best pull-ups but they were totally useless and leaked all over the place.

As an aside, my ped told us to wait on the overnight underwear or anything else until our DS goes a full month waking up dry every time. And not to worry one bit about it, that his body will be ready when its ready and she sees plenty of school age children that still sleep in diapers. It is a little annoying to me, because so many friends have LOs that switched to undies overnight immediately, I just wondered if we are doing something wrong. DS is 3 and has been going in the toilet while awake for almost 2 years. But he never wakes with a dry diaper. If your LO calls out to you or gets up and tries to take off her diaper I would say go for it, otherwise maybe stick with the diapers. I also say that because the only pull ups we bought were the EB and they made such a mess it was like wearing underwear - so a diaper made more sense to us.

My daughter is 4 years old and has been potty-trained for some time now but still uses a diaper for naps and overnight. We are thinking of getting her pull-up diapers (regular for naps and overnight for nighttime sleep) so that she can start to go use the potty on her own so that we can take that first step towards going completely diaper-free! I'm not sure if we should just be going cold turkey but, at this point, she is still peeing a ton overnight and LOVES her water before bed so I think taking away her diaper altogether is guaranteeing a lot of sleepless nights for both of us.

What brand overnight and regular pull-up diapers do you use? We're looking for something economical but effective. ;)
