LO started standing at 10 months, cruising at 12, stepping at 15.5, walking at 15 weeks and 29 days, and then started crawling the same day. We had until 16 months to get him walking or we had to go to a specialist, so we were shocked to see him crawling out of the blue.

I've been wondering the same! My 9.5 month old has been sitting for months, can get into a sitting position, is all about standing and walking with assistance, can get herself into standing, but no crawling! Last night I think she did take two crawl steps, but I have been figuring she would skip it entirely.

I feel like my 7 month old will be like this too- she loves to "stand up" and can stand if I put her standing on the couch but is nowhere near crawling or even pushing up on hands and knees! She gets around the house by rotating her body and rolling on her belly.

Mine was pulling up at 7 months and cruising by 8 and didn't crawl or even scoot much till 10 months. She was sick for over a month with back to back colds and then an ear infection in there, so I figured the illness was kind of killing her motivation to practice new gross motor skills, since she just wanted to be held and cuddled all the time. She got the hang of crawling in a matter of days once she finally decided to do it.

Bumping!
DS will be 8 months on the 19th
He literally has all the things to crawl but just hasn't made that click yet! Gets on hands and knees rocks but then plops to sit...lol

He HAS figured out how to pull and stand and is OBSESSED! Jumps, even lets go 😱

Will he crawl?!?! Or maybe skip.it?!
DD didn't crawl until 9 months but didn't pull until then either!

L was the same, stood up well before army crawling, even cruising before real crawling. She sat up on her own before consistently rolling over too, she was way out of order!

My first learned to crawl and pull up at the same time (on the same day) but he was cruising very easily for months before that (transferring between furniture and holding on only to a wall). He also showed no sign of trying to crawl before actually crawling. He never army crawled.

@travellingbee: Same! DS is almost 8 months and just started pulling up to standing the other day. Now it's all he will do over and over again! He's not crawling. He is however able to scoot across any room in ten seconds flat like an earth worm. :P

@travellingbee: he'll figure it out. She was pulling up just before five months and was bonkers for it but was so so little. I had to sit right next to her at all times because she'd stand up and then fall backwards when she'd let go.

I thought ours would end up doing that (she always seemed to want to stand) but she surprised us by learning to crawl a few hours before she pulled to standing. She also learned to crawl all the way up the stairs the next day. That was a crazy weekend.

DS2 is 6.5 months old and was looking like he was going to start crawling at any minute but then out of nowhere decided he was all about standing instead. He pulls himself up on everything and doesn't even want to sit anymore. All he wants to do is stand. He can even let go and balance for a second or two. I'm so surprised that he is doing this before even army crawling! I guess all babies are unique! Anyone else have a kiddo that did milestones out of "order"?
