that phase reminded me of the one where LO would roll over onto his tummy and get stuck, and i'd have to go in and roll him back over. when he started standing in his crib he cried a bit, but once he learned how to let go and lower himself (or fall on his butt) he didn't cry.

We had a rough go around that time. Crawling, two weeks later standing, then cruising, then four new teeth. That period lasted a month and a half in my house. No fun. I hope it's better for you.
I will say that as soon as she figured it all out she was back to STTN.

@Running Elley: yes same here! I use to let her cry it out for 10 minutes and then go lay her back down. I dunno if she knows how to get back down. I hope this phase passes soon! What's hard is we have a one bedroom so her crib is at the foot of our bed. In the middle of the night she would pull herself up and cry and STARE me down until I pick her up!!!

Yes, I hated this phase- it just sucks. But it does pass once they get it figured out. I'm so sorry you are going through it!

@dolphin: Ugh this was a rough phase!! I feel for you! Yes, once LO learned how to pull up he'd pull himself up as soon as I put him in his crib. Eventually (sometimes it took a looooooong time) he'd get tired and lay down. After a week or so his "new trick" became less exciting for him and it wasn't a problem anymore. When he was first getting used to it after 10 minutes of him standing up I'd go in and lay him down with his blankie.

When your LOs started pulling up in their crib, did that mess up their sleep? DD has always been a good sleeper and was able to fall asleep on her own when I put her in the crib drowsy but awake. But once she hit 9 months and started pulling up she would not stay down! I now have to resort back to rocking her to FULLY asleep before putting her down for naps and night time. If she's not asleep, right when her head touches the crib, she will roll over and pull herself up and cry and cry until I get her. It is exhausting! Did your LOs have trouble falling asleep on their own when they started pulling up?
