I also replaced mine after 4 months of use. They're pretty cheap so it doesn't hurt to replace them!

@BabyBoecksMom: + @Mrsbells: Thanks! I think I'll stop cleaning the tubes everytime. Also, I never even thought of mold...

@MungBean: Good idea! Thanks for the tip!

I usually just let the pump run for a bit to get the tubes totally dry. I replaced mine after about five months of use.

I use a Lansinoh pump and the instructions says not to wash the tubing so I dont. The tubes never come in contact with the milk. If I feel like its getting a bit grimey I just throw it out and buy a new set of tubes, there arent expensive. Washing them can cause mold to build up in the tubes though so i dont wash them

I think I've cleaned mine maybe twice. Like you said, they don't come in contact with the milk, so I didn't really see a need to clean them.

I know pump hygiene is very important and I've been cleaning all the parts very thoroughly after use. But I wonder, is it really necessary to clean the tubes? They don't actually come in contact with milk and it's so hard to get the water out of them after cleaning!
