I replaced just the tubing and membranes. I just sterilized everything else.

Since the Medelas aren't a closed system, I'd replace the tubes, if you can find them reasonably. At a minimum, snip off the last inch of tubing that fits onto the connector to ensure a snug fit. And definitely replace the valves (yellow thingy with white flap). I use MayMom replacement parts and they're cheaper and work with Medela systems.

@Mrs D: tubing is cheap - $8

http://www.amazon.com/Replacement-Tubing-Retail-Medela-Advanced/dp/B0033B9CZ2

I would do the tubing and membranes

I'm replacing all of my parts including the tubes because they got a lot of moisture/condensation in them at times.

So...I have a Madela PIS (insurance) from when I had K and just got another one (insurance) for DD2 who is due in 2 weeks...

I have some bottles and the test tube things that I never used last time that I will use this time (I threw out all my bottles/nipples that got extensive use.

My question is...what parts would you recommend getting new for use with my old pump?

I purchased the "cups" or whatever it is that goes on the breast. I also purchased the yellow connector with the white flaps...where the milk drips out.

So far...the only way I am seeing to replace the clear tubes is to buy a $55 set...which seems silly...the tubes didnt even touch anything...so is it bad to re-use them?
