Could you just hand express that side for a couple minutes to relieve the pain rather than a full pump? That helped in my weaning.

I have been weaning from the pump slowly over a couple of weeks. As of today I have not pumped since late Saturday night. I am starting to feel some tenderness/possible clogged duct feeling on one side of one breast. The other still feels empty. My question is - should I pump the one side that is tender, or just apply ice/wear a tight bra maybe? Its not painful yet, but tender to pressure.
I don't want to get mastitis (again), but I also don't want to encourage supply.
Thoughts?
