Yeah, most babies eat no more than 4 oz a feeding even at 1 year old. It took a long time to learn that. Kelly mom is a great resource. @cvbee:

She will take more as she gets used to the bottle. Olive takes up to 7 at night, but that wasn't until she was 4-5 months. Her daytime bottles are still 4oz at 8 months.

Your lo just needs bottle practice.

No, that is normal for breastfeeding babies to eat less more often. Unlike formula, breastmilk changes as the baby gets bigger and so you don't need more like you do with formula.

Our doctor told us that 3.5-4.5 oz was what we should be giving our 2 month old in the bottle. He usually takes the full 4.5, but sometimes he only takes 2 or 3 oz. When I pump I usually get 5-9oz total.

LO is 8 weeks old and for the past week I am trying to get her to take a bottle, I used to exclusively breastfeed. she refused formula so I started pumping again, Usually when I pump I get about 4oz from each side but when I feed her she only drinks about 2.5 oz sometimes 3 in the evenings. I feel like she should be able to drink more than what I'm able to pump. Am I wrong? I worry that she is eating less because she doesnt like the bottle . But I go back to work in a month so I have no other choice but to keep bottle feeding ti she gets used to it. I just dont want her to lose weight in the process
