Yes you can freeze directly, but sometimes i prefer to let it cool down in the fridge first since it can be quite warm when its freshly pumped

First bag of milk pumped & stored for our upcoming trip! Woohoo!

I used to pump and put it in the fridge to add to it, but now I pump enough to fill a freezer bag (6-8oz) and it goes directly into the freezer.

All my pumped milk went straight to the freezer! I froze flat, 4 oz at a time.

Yup! Like you said you just can't add to it later.

For example, I liked to freeze in 4oz bags. If I pumped 4oz, great I would immediately freeze it. But if I just had 3oz, I would wait for another ounce and then freeze at once.

So you would think I would know this but it's been almost 6 months since I pumped to store any milk and most of the time it went to the fridge first b/c I was adding to it later..... Anyhoo, can I take freshly pumped milk & put it directly in the freezer?

Thanks ladies
