She may still be taking only a few ounces per feeding right now. Especially if she feeds more often. You may just have to pump more often while at work for a little while. Then see what happens if you start extending that time. My son only ever took 4 ounces at the most even at 6 months old.

Do everything you can to increase your supply. Drink 100+ oz of water every day, eat oatmeal, drink lactation teas, eat lactation cookies, and take lactation supplements (like fenugreek). Also try to sleep and reduce stress, which will also help your production.

Develop a consistant pumping schedule. Pump every day after BFing in the morning. You won't get much at first, but eventually you will produce more and more. Pump every time LO gets a bottle.

Good luck!

When I drink tons of water (and I mean TONS), I notice an increase in my supply. I'll get at least an extra oz on each side. Try going on a water drinking marathon for a few days and see what happens! I drank water all day long, including mother's milk tea. Try it!

Do you drink lots of water? Oatmeal helps too. You may not be doing anything wrong, some people just dont have as much of a supply as others.

I will be going back to work in about 6 weeks and am becoming increasingly concerned about my ability to pump enough milk for my LO to eat during the day. I've been pumping some (probably not as regularly/consistently as I should) for about 4-6 weeks and my output is still really small (1 oz per side at a time on a good day...1.5 oz if I'm really lucky). I've tried to pump whenever she goes down for a nap or when she has a bottle (we try to do a bottle a day to get her used to them) but the timing doesn't seem to matter. What am I doing wrong? I really want to continue BF-ing her when I go back to work!
