I went away for 5 days when DS2 was 13 months old. It was LONG and I did LOTS of pumping. We were still nursing often (like all night). I ended up with mastitis. I wasn't sure how much milk he was drinking until that trip when it became very clear that it was still a HUGE part of his diet. He didn't skip a beat getting back on the boob. We nursed a lot when I got back, to help with the mastitis and I am sure to get my supply back up. We nursed until 22 months when I weened two months before a 9-day work trip. I hadn't pumped in months and there was no way I was going to bring the pump back out.

I was away for two days when LO was 11.5 mos. At that point I was feeding bedtime/wakeup and down to one pump session at work. I did not notice any effect on my supply. What's hit it harder is illness (first the flu two weeks ago and now a stomach bug). But LO is still content to nurse for 45+ minutes at bed time and wake up and it will hopefully bounce back, as long as he remains obsessed.

At 12m DD2 was nursing 2-3x per day (mainly morning and night and possibly for comfort here and there). I think you'll definitely be fine pumping 2x per day - 3 days is pretty short and you'll be developing "toddler boobs" by then

I left my daughter for about 10 days when she was 12m and my supply dipped a little toward the end of my trip but was totally fine once I was back home with her. I think you'll be okay for 3 days!

We left DS1 for 4 days when he was 11.5 months. I pumped twice/day while we were gone and continued nursing once or twice a day when we got back for another two months.

I left my LO for 11 days when he was 11 months. I did use the time to reduce my supply - down from 5 to 2 sessions per day, but it was a fairly intentional process. I suspect if I hadn’t I would have been fine to continue nursing at the same rate as before. I continued nursing for 4 months after when he decided he was done. All that to say, I think 3 days would be short enough not to worry as long as you have a good pump with you.

Oh, and I just remembered I left LO2 for 4 days at 11 months and 4 more days at 12 months. And we continued nursing several months after too.

We are considering a weekend away for our 10th anniversary, which is right around LO3’s 1st bday. I’m hesitant to leave her because she’s our last baby and I don’t want nursing to accidentally end. It ended unexpectedly with my second and I wasn’t really ready.

But she’s only just 6m now (still all BF) so I can’t even remember how much she may be nursing at 12m. I’m worried pumping may not be enough to keep up supply if we’re gone 3 days and she’s down to a couple feedings.

Any experiences would be great! Generally I have a good supply, this time around I just pump one bottle most weeks (haaka style) and she loves that bottle but also nurses way more than needed since she just loves food and comfort
