@blackbird: Maybe pull over to disconnect before getting there?

@maisymay, perfect :). I'd feel weird doing it coming into work because the security guard has to check my badge. That would be awkward :P

I did it for a few months and a hands free bra was a lifesaver for me.

@blackbird: I do it going to and coming from work so that I take less breaks at work and spend more time with LO after work.

I was totally wondering about the logistics of this. It makes so much more sense to do this while coming home from work or the gym (~20 min commute, maybe 30 min) so that I have that extra time free at home.

I'm going to have to practice this weekend I think!!!

@T.H.O.U. - you are very talented to be able to use one arm to hold both horns in place & drive!!!

@anbanan15 - I do have the PISA. I have the car adapter and batteries... I was thinking the car adapter would be better. Thanks!

@CarrieLouWho: Neither. I just tuck the horns into my regular bra. The lip of my bra cups hold them up and the suction keeps them attached.

I didn't have a pumping bra but just a nursing bra. I would use one hand/arm to hold both in place, drape a shirt or blanket over and then drive.

I did basically what @MaisyMay: said, except I wouldn't pull over to remove the pump (yikes) but just waited for some red lights. I would wear my pumping bra only in the car since I never found it to be comfortable.

Do you have a PISA? I think you get more power from the AC adaptor vs the battery operated pack. I found I sometimes had to or just did pump longer while driving which was fine.

@CarrieLouWho: I want to try this one day if I am stuck in commuter traffic!!

To go hands free without a bra, put a rubber band around each shield before attaching to you, and hook one end of the band to your nursing bra/tank clips and tuck shields into bra/tank!

Thanks @maisymay!
Do you wear your hands free bra all day or do you put it on before you pump?

I do this every work day!
Have your cooler bag in the front seat, as well as all of your parts. Hook up while parked. I hook up, put my cover on, and then buckle up so that the buckle rests between my breasts and under the right pump. Make sure that you've got everything comfy before you start driving. Know how long you normally pump and pull over a minute or so before you are set to be finished. Put a blanket over your lap in case you leak. When finished, I condense all of the pumped milk into a 3rd bottle and reattach the bottles to my pump and store everything back into the cooler.

Hope this helps!

Well, looks like I will have my first overnight trip for work - leaving Monday, coming back Tuesday. The drive is 4 hours, so I'll need to pump. Any tips, tricks, suggestions for me?
