I was able to pump from 7-7:30 before I left for work. At 11, I pumped in a storage closet at the school I was at (sounds worse than it was) and I pumped at 2:30 on my drive home! Pumping and driving was a piece of cake! I think it's going to make my life so much easier. </p> <p>@T.H.O.U.: I pick up my car adapter tomorrow so hopefully it works ok! I set everything up in the driveway and then "connected" myself in the daycare parking lot. I'd disconnect in my school's parking lot (elementary school). I'd do the same thing on the way home (connect at my work, disconnect at home). </p> <p>I used a large pashmina or an A&amp;A blanket to cover everything up. It worked really well. The logistics of getting pump set up in my work parking lot are always interesting! So is seat belt placement (I assume seatbelt placement with a single will be easier). I am always a little uncomfortable at first, but like I said, I only do it from time to time.</p> <p>When I first returned to work I used to do my morning pump while getting ready. Plenty of people have their breakfast while driving.<br /> I'd set up the hands free &amp; just attach bottles when seated. The bag was in seat next to me, I could easily turn it on/off. I told my girlfriends I was planning on pumping on the way to and way home from work and they thought I was nuts. </p> <p>I go back to work Monday, but only three days a week. LO is 7 months old. I am only working 14 weeks and am then off for the summer so I only have to make it through a few months of pumping. My job is really hectic and it'll be hard to find time to pump more than once. However, I have a 1.5 hour commute each way so if I pump while driving I can pump at 8am in car, 12 at work, and then 3pm in car which should keep up my supply.</p> <p>Who has pumped while driving? Did you feel like it was safe? I bought a hands free bra and just have a single electric but there are places I can stop along my way to switch sides easily. I was planning on setting up in driveway before leaving my house. Am I going to get pulled over by a cop? That would be super embarrassing ;)</p> <p>Stories and advice! If this is a super bad idea I'm open to hearing that too! </p>
