This is my second week back to work so I too am just getting into a routine; but here is what it currently looks like:

3:30am-nurse
6:00am-nurse
9:00am-pump (usually get 5-6 oz)
12:00pm-pump (usually get 3-4oz)
3:00pm-pump (usually get 2-4oz)
6:00pm-nurse
10:00pm-nurse

I send 4 bottles (3.5-4oz) to the sitter with DS but he usually only eats 3. I'm drinking Mother's Milk Tea, taking More Milk Plus and drinking at least 100oz of water each day. I sometimes pump at about 8PM but that depends upon what else I need to do that evening. I tried setting the alarm to get up and pump during the long stretch of sleep but I sleep through the alarm.

Sounds like I'm doing everything right. I try to pump at 9am, 12:45(lunch), and 4:00. I sometimes go a little bit earlier or later though. I also nurse as soon as I get home and she nurse like 3 times before bedtime, almost constantly. Maybe because
I have no milk left or because she misses me? I like the latter more ;)

One day last week I only got 12 ounces all day and it scared me, but over the weekend I was super engorged ad had to pump even after I nursed. I'm not sure what's going on with that.

@banana: hehe... aw thanks. It was sucky to have such production when I was first nursing Wagon Jr. because of clogged ducts, but now I've got my boobs under control. heh! Although, this time around my milk has got a blue tint...!! I googled it and found out it's because I'm waiting long between pumping sessions, so a lot of it is foremilk. Doesn't appear to have affected LMW too badly though. Besides, she could use some skim-ish type of milk... she's 99th percentile in height and weight again!!!

@mrs. wagon: dayam! I so jelly about your milk output! I'm barely making enough right now. I'm chugging mother's milk like there's no tomorrow!

Right now I have the following schedule (I'm exclusively pumping):

6am: 10 oz
11am: 8 oz
3:30pm: 8 oz
10pm: 9 oz

all amounts approximate, of course!!
so it's about 35 oz a day, about 5-10 more oz a day than she eats. with this schedule I pump twice while at work.

Some days I am too busy before/during lunchtime so I end up pumping at 6am, 1pm, 7pm, and 11pm. That's once while I'm at work. I don't like this schedule though because I'm pretty engorged during bedtime, and putting down either kid while engorged is not fun!

I would nurse when she woke, then every 2 hours at work (9, 11, 1, 3) and get about 18-20oz. Nurse at home and before bed, and pump once more before I went to sleep and freeze that.

I breastfeed when she wakes up, then pump 3x at work. I'll then feed her one more time when we get home before she goes to bed.

Mine fluxuates. I try to pump 3x/day. Sometimes I get a little extra like last week and I was able to freeze 5oz, plus I left 4oz in the fridge. I'm glad I did because today I have only pumped 8oz so far. Normally I pump about 5oz per session. Not sure what's going on today.

Oh and she gets 5oz per bottle - 3 bottles a day at daycare.

I nurse before leaving for work, and then pump 3x at work if I'm good, 2x if I'm lazy. I get between 16 and 24 oz usually, and LO drinks 18-20 a day. So on weeks when I am good and keep up with 3x a day I have a bit left over to freeze.

I leave before E gets up every day, so I pump while I get ready for work. My schedule is
5:30 - pump while getting ready
9:00, 12:00, 3:00 - pump at work
8:00 - pump after E's bedtime

He eats four 5oz bottles while I'm gone during the day. He eats cereal and nurses when I get home, nurses before bed and usually twice during the night. It took me a month to get into a good routine pumping at work... it gets easier.

Sounds like you are pumping great!

I pumped anywhere from 12-16 ounces over 2-4 pumping sessions per day.

I pump just enough to cover her feedings. But since she's SSTN, I'm able to save around 10oz a day for the freezer stash ( I pumped twice while she's sleeping at night). So I have enough to cover her plus a little extra. With my son though, I barely had enough to cover his feedings! It used to stress me out like crazy because I was so determined to EBF for 12 months. I made it to a year but it was HARD work. This time around, I made SURE I established a good supply from the get go and so far so good! I'm starting to hit a little bit of a dip so I'm chugging Mother's Milk like crazy and taking More Milk Plus.

I just started back to work 2 weeks ago and I'm still getting used to pumping during the day.

I haven't really set up a morning schedule yet, so some days I nurse before I leave and some days I don't. Either way I pump about the same amount while I'm at work, but obviously baby eats more on days I don't nurse her because there is an extra feeding.

Do you pump enough to cover all of baby's feedings through the day?

Currently I pump around 18-20 ounces while I'm gone 10 hours and she eats between 14-20.
