Oh I just want to mention. We ended up buying a audio monitor. The foscam app we have has sound but its just easier to use the audio monitor and then open the iPad to peek at him. We do just use the app for naps tho.

I know this is an old thread but as we start to think about transitioning R to a crib, I wondered how we would work this! I just tried out the app for sound only and it works great. Thanks!

The app that you use with it has an audio option so it will go off if the baby starts crying.

The app has an audio option that you can turn on and off but we rarely use it. For naps we use our audio monitor in addition to the video. At night our bedroom shares a wall with our LO's room so we can hear if he wakes up.

I won a foscam from a blog giveaway and after some research it's my understanding that the app will text you or ping when there is a noise being made, and then you have to run the app to see the video. I think we're buying the Angelcare movement & sound to go with it- I worry about travel usage and the internet going out if we were to only use the foscam.

we are thinking about getting the foscam too, and if we do, we plan on using a cheapie audio monitor with it.

So we just got our Foscam last night. Very excited about it! But it got me thinking. If baby is sleeping in the other room, how will I know if he starts crying? Will I have to keep it on on my iphone all the time? What about in the middle of the night? Are any of you using an audio monitor in addition to the foscam? Hope this makes sense. Thank you in advance!
