For someone that DH was really close to, I'd stick with a similar price point. For someone I'm not that close to, I'd be more inclined to do something small, including something from TJ Maxx. However, I just had my baby shower, and I realized I have been being too generous to many people such as my husband's friends wives in particular! To give you an idea, my 10 month old DS wears size 18 months in Carters, 12-18 months in BabyGap and 12 months in Ralph Lauren. </p> <p>I don't buy clothes as gifts. I give something along the lines of Sophie the Giraffe if I want to spend under $25. I've also given a Very Hungry Caterpillar board book and stuffed toy.
