I ended up doing an AI on cd 10, which was probably way too early, but planned on another today. I got my first positive opk this morning (although still high on the monitor but I'm not trusting it completely as it's the first month using it). AI happening in an hour or so, so the timing couldn't be much better. Fingers crossed for good swimmers! I've been temping and using opks and chatting cm so I'm fairly confident I'm ovulating between days 13-16 every month, except the one month where I ovulated closer to day 19, but that was only 1 cycle. Found out I was a super late ovulator! This was two years ago while TTC for DS.</p> <p>Using it now while TTC#2 the past few months, I found out my O week is now a week earlier...and I still have random non O months, etc. I still get 6-10+ high days sometimes. So I decided to spend a little extra money, and a lot of extra driving time, and go twice. So yesterday was a 6 hour drive each way plus AI in between. Ugh. Still getting high readings on the monitor. Still negative wondfo. I think it was too early, but if I ovulate between now and Saturday evening at least there should be some in there. If I haven't ovulated by Saturday morning, I'll go again Saturday and this time spend the night for easier driving. The good news is we gobs another donor who sounds like a great possibility who lives 45 min from our house! That will make life so much easier over the cycles (unless of course this one works). There really is no way to know the first month using it.. it takes a couple months to predict your cycle. Your best bet will always to do it the first sign of your peak day. I'm trying to decide when to do AI this month. I'm on cycle day 8, got my first high reading this morning. Usually I ovulate between days 14-16 and one cycle I ovulated on day 19. I only get one shot per cycle because our donor is 5 hours away. Last month I waited until I got the LH surge, but I think by the time I drove down there the next day I was already too late. That was cd 15. My options are to go this Tuesday (cd 10), Thursday (cd 12), or Saturday (14). My original plan was Saturday but after getting a high reading today I'm thinking that might be too late again. Maybe the vitex is making me ovulate slightly earlier in the cycle? On the plus side, my luteal phases have been 14-15 days consistently. Anyway, any experience or help would be appreciated! It sucks only having one chance per cycle!! </p>
