We got married on my parent's front porch and then had our reception in tent on a lot down the street. It was easy because our focus was on family and making a happy, stress free day. I didn't have any other preconceived notions of what I had to have so it was just like planning any other party. My dress was off the rack from DB, flowers were from Safeway, cake from a local bakery, photographer from Craigslist, party trays of food from the local upscale grocery store and a friend to say the vows. Simple but exactly what we wanted. The only thing we would have changed with more time is sending invitations. It all comes down to what you want &amp; what you feel you can do without... what are the most important factors? I know for my dress (got it at DB) it had a possible 12 wks to come in b/c it was white (they said white is special order). Some photographers book out a year in advance, do you possibly know someone who does this.. or maybe a student at a near by college?</p> <p>It most definitely can be done... She was really decisive and had her family help her as much as possible. Recently discovered my SO's mother has a disease with a life expectancy of 2-5 years and SO wants to expedite our plans to have another baby and get married. I'm trying to come up with a timeline for both of these things, however I'm not sure what would be realistic. How long should I allow myself to plan the wedding (small, intimate, outdoor wedding) without totally stressing myself. We are also planning on moving in August so I need to keep that in mind also. I think we want to try to TTC in 2-3 months </p>
