The pattern isn't a distraction. It's more of an age/awareness thing.

I don't BF so I don't know about distraction, but I LOVE my Bebe au Lait cover. It's a great size and weight. I feel totally covered, but i can still see what going on underneath really easily.

I have a pretty colorful pattern and it doesn't seem to distract her at all.

I have a bebe au lait one in black with a red and white trim pattern. The bulk of it is black so she has been distracted by it yet that I've noticed.

I have the hooter hider that in a green and white quarter foil pattern. LO doesn't seem distracted at all. I like this one better than the Dria cover so I can see LO.

@chopsuey119: Thanks! I think by 9 months that makes sense they are just curious and want to "see the world!"

@shopaholic: the pattern you chose should be fine since the white against gray is subtle. I had pink against black. I think moreso than the pattern of the cover my Lo was just curious and wanted to look around. Don't think she was a fan of having something over her head too.
I forget exactly when, but it was sometime after 9 months old?
I didn't nurse her in public too often and when I did I nursed in the car sans cover.

Hmm... I never heard of the distraction thing before! Good to know!

@chopsuey119: How old was your LO when she started getting distracted by the pattern? I registered for this one (and someone bought it already!) Do you think it would be distracting?

I have the bebe AJ lait cover in a pattern. But I think my LO is still too young to get distracted. It hasn't been a problem yet.

I had a pink patterned and it worked well until Lo became more aware of her surroundings.
I'd get a dria cover if I could do it all over again.
And probably wouldn't do a pattern.

Mrs bee posted about this cover a while back

If you have a patterned nursing cover (like bebe au lait, hooter hider, etc), do you find that the pattern on the underside of the cover distracts your LO? I am about to order a cover on Amazon and am debating between plain white with no pattern or a pretty patterned one, but I've heard that distraction can be a problem. I know some babies don't like stuff over their heads when they nurse, but I figure I should at least try it out so I don't have to struggle with using an A&A blanket in public like I do now.
