I'm barely getting enough but have dropped from 3-4 pumpings to just two pumpings.

@purrpletulips & @obxwife , I'm with you. My LO takes 12oz a day and I have to pump 4 times at work and once at home and I still barely make it. I think I'm going to start supplementing with formula during the day soon.

I'm jealous of you ladies who have extra! I'm barely pumping 3/4 oz. total at each pumping session. I pump when my LO eats, three times a day. That, along with my morning engorgement pumping sess usually gets him through the next day.

I couldn't keep up with LO when pumping at work so we ended up supplementing with formula. My rule was that I only pumped during work not on weekends at all (DD nursed during the times I would have normally pump and after a few failed attempts at pumping after she nursed, I got pumped 0oz, I just gave up pumping on weekends).

I think my boobs would explode if I just pumped once! But I may try around 11 months, since I would worry I wouldn't have enough for weekends... I figure he can have breast milk after he turns 1, no reason we have to switch to cows milk right away, right? or, breast milk ice cream!

@beaker Yeah, I also dropped to two pumping sessions to reduce the amount I bring home. It is nice to have a freezer stash, but I'm starting to wonder if we will ever use it all! Mt LO is 7.5 months. I'm wondering if I could make it through work just pumping once.

I typically pump to empty each boob, which ends up being more than he eats when Im gone, since he holds out for me. I have a monster freezer stash and sometimes need to pump in the weekends, but he still gets up throughout the night to eat so I don't have to all the time. I dropped to 2x at work sessions to try to minimize the amount I'm bringing home, but he's almost 9 months and I only plan to go for a year... If yours is younger I'd keep doing what youre doing, it's such a peace of mind to have a huge stash :)

For moms who pump at work, do you pump exactly the same amount as your baby typically eats in a day? I usually pump a little extra and freeze it, but on the weekends my boobs are so full, leaky and sore. I'd like to get back on track so I am not overproducing, since I'd rather not pump on the weekends. Do you just turn off the pump when you have what you need?
