I will chime in and agree with what the others are saying - I think it's completely normal. After the first couple months, I rarely get engorged. It only happens now when my LO miraculously sleeps through the night.

I thought the same thing: that my supply was decreasing. But LO is healthy and when I pump I'm still getting the same amount, just now my boobs are softer.

This happened to me... I was worried that my supply had decereased but it just regulated to the amount that was closer to how much LO was eating, My supply is still more than LO can eat but I dont get that hard engorged feeling that I had in the beginning unless I skip a feedinf

Your breasts will change throughout the process. It sounds likely that you are just experiencing the first change when your body regulates. As long as you think your baby is satisfied, gaining weight, etc. you are just fine.

I agree with pp that your supply is regulating. At almost 4 months, my breasts barely get engorged even after 10-12 hours and they are never engorged in the day.

As long as baby seems content & is outputting enough wet/dirty dipes then it's just your body adjusting to your true supply needs. Even before that though its normal to feel fuller in the morning & "emptier" as the day goes on.

My started feeling softer at about 4 weeks & now only get hard if I pump one day (have oversupply issues do my body will compensate quickly) or DD sleeps longer than usual at night.

I think it's just your supply regulating. Now that LO id 3.5 mos I only get full, hard boobs if he sleeps through the night.

I think supply is supposed to regulate around 6 weeks...how old is LO? I remember things calming down around then but still leaking all the time. As long as LO seems to be geting enough to eat i wouldnt worry about it.

So up until a couple days ago, my boobs would feel really hard and engorged 2.5-3 hours after feeding LO. At night, if I went any longer than 4 hours without pumping or feeding, I would be in so much pain that I would wake up from a dead sleep.

However, recently my boobs have become much softer. Once LO empties a breast and they get that "soft" feeling, I have noticed it stays that way for much longer and I don't feel nearly as engorged. After 3 hours my boobs still get tingly and start to leak, but they definitely don't get as hard.

I don't know if this means that my supply has drastically decreased or just that my body has adjusted.... has this happened to anyone?
