@lemondrop: @lamariniere: @Arden: @Dandelion: Thanks ladies!

I find it interesting that a lot of you had tougher pregnancies with your daughters. In Asian culture they say boys give mom a rougher time and that girls are gentle to mommy. But the old wives tales of western cultures say that girls steal mommy's beauty aka give moms rougher times. So conflicting.

My son was definitely rough on me. :)

@Raindrop: You used the word sex correctly. :) People often misuse the word gender where the appropriate word would be sex.

Slightly different pregnancies, different sexes. The main differences I noticed were less nausea and amazing libido with my son. With my daughter I was nauseous but didn't puke the whole 1st tri and I had very little libido the whole pregnancy.

Very different pregnancies, same sex. I was very sick with both, but different kinds of sick- throwing up with my first regularly, but more nausea and less appetite with my second. I carried entirely different the second time and had fewer issues (pregnancy hypertension, swelling, carpal tunnel) at the end until my blood pressure got very high the last week of pregnancy with both.

Same/same

Only some teeny differences, but those are due to the extra weight I'm carrying this pregnancy (hips are more sore, I get exhausted easier, etc)

@mrskc: Thanks for answering. Woot woot. :) Gives me some hope. Hehe.

Edit : I just wanted to mention we would be very happy with a second boy also ... we actually already have a second boy name picked out. Hehe. I don't know I feel like having one of each sex would be nice though.

@Raindrop: Yeah, I think I'm just bitter because literally every old wive's tale about gender was wrong for me, haha! From the way you carry, to the foods you crave, to the Chinese gender chart, etc.

@wonderstruck: Hmm interesting. I also read somewhere that after each pregnancy your body "resets" and can react differently the next time around. Also even on terms of getting pregnant again. Haha. So basically everything is pretty much up in the air. :)

I had different symptoms and the same sex. I think it has more to do with how your body handles the quickly changing hormone levels than anything with the baby's sex. I haven't been quite as sick this time around despite it being another boy - maybe my body's just a bit more used to it since it just went through this a year ago? I mean, I've still been sick. But not as intensely.

Just wanted to know if any of you that had more than two kids had the same symptoms and different sex kids or any of the other combo.

It's just for fun.

I'm having the same symptoms as my first kid so I'm feeling it's probably going to be the same sex as my first (a boy!) and I was wondering how true that is.

Also I hope I'm using the word sex right... maybe I mean gender. :)
