Mine was obvious but it was only about .2 to .3 degrees. It was an obvious shift to me because I was using Fertility Friend, so the pre and post-O pattern was evident but only if I temped every day and so could see the consistent raised temperatures post-O.

My spikes were normally about .4 degrees and then they'd go even higher. More than likely, you'll notice it, but it may be a day or two after the spike that you see the pattern.

If you consistently take your temp at the same time each morning, it's usually a pretty obvious jump. To be warned though, I have had "slow rises" and those are harder to figure out.

Mine are obvious, always .5 or more. But I do pretty sharp fluctuations if I drink the night before, so that could account for some of your jumps. And sometimes it just goes up and down a little for no reason.

For me it's been obvious, but this is only my second month actually temping. Last month my jump was almost a full degree.

Yes it's usually pretty obvious, .5 of a degree or more. When I started charting I spent a LOT of time thumbing through chart galleries on FF to start to understand patterns a bit more. Join us on the charting thread! Share your chart and we can all help you figure out what's going on :-)

This is my first month charting, so I have a question for all you charters out there. I got off BC in May, and have had regular cycles since (28-29 days). I am on CD 12, so I am hoping to ovulate in the next few days. For those of you that ovulate regularly and temp, is the temp spike super obvious? My temps have been fairly consistent, but I have had a couple of days where they fluctuate 1-2 tenths of a degree. Will the spike be way more than that? We're not currently TTC, I am just temping to make sure I am ovulating. Any advice would be great. Thanks!
