<description>&#60;p&#62;Hmmm I don't even know because we actually only check it when we are awoken by baby crying or we are already awake.  We don't need it to wake us or to keep it on because baby crying will alert us in person, not via the monitor.  Our place is too small and we can hear baby anywhere we happen to be.

<description>&#60;p&#62;Our Motorola has crapped out after I dropped the parent unit on the ground (which sucks b/c we just bought a $100 second camera 6 months ago).  I'm thinking about  Foscam or something similar, but am wondering how it works at night when you're sleeping. Do you need to keep the app running on your phone to hear it at night?
