I had this a couple of times in my second trimester! It happened on the bus to work. I called my midwife both times and they were never really concerned, but I don't regret calling because it feels really scary!!

@MrsKRB: @Emsmems: @Kbee: @MrsF:
Thanks ladies! I usually have low blood pressure, but I do think this could have been dehydration because I haven't been drinking as much water and last night our air conditioner went out so it was pretty hot. It just scared me! I am feeling much better now though!

I'm not an OB nurse, but I would be worried about either low or high blood pressure (although blood sugar could be a cause too). Glad you have a call in to your OB. I'm glad that you're feeling better but I would think they would want to see you at least to check your BP. Keep us posted!

I'm not an OB nurse, but this happened to me many times in my second trimester. I would feel like I was going to pass out, always in the mornings. We think I was dehydrated from the night (even though I drank at night, it wasn't as much as in the daytime). So I'd drink a bunch of water in the morning. Eating didn't really help for me so it wasn't a blood sugar thing for me but it could be that too for you! If you're worried, you can always call your dr. I did and she told me to drink more water and put my feet up and come in if it didn't go away in a few hours. It always did. Your blood pressure could be low too. Do you normally run low at your appointments?

Again, always call if you're worried. The worst they can say is it's normal and they aren't concerned! Good luck!

Eta: I just reread your post and realized you said you left a message with the nurse! Sorry!

Not a nurse, I'm a dietitian - but I wonder if you had low blood sugar? I get the same way if I haven't eaten anything and my blood sugar ends up being very low.

I am 23 weeks pregnant and have felt pretty normal through the whole pregnancy. In the beginning I had a little nausea but never threw up and that went away at week 12. This morning I woke up and felt sick and I got very dizzy and was unable to see clearly. I even had trouble finding the door handle to the bathroom. I got very hot so I put some cold water on my forehead then I threw up twice even though I hadn't eaten anything yet. I've got a message in to my nurse and am just waiting for a call back. I am feeling much better now and am just wondering if I need to get into my doctors office today.
