@Running Elley: C seems a little imbalanced when on her tummy.....I think the cloth really props up her hips/butt.

I was at doc today and said "my online Mom friends, it seems like C is the only one not rolling over, except by accident a few times" he said not to worry at 4 months, 6 months we'd look at it if she still wasn't, but that her head and neck control was great and it's not like she's not doing well otherwise. The cloth *may* hold her back, but still as of now she really has no desire to roll over.....so I wait, lol.

I don't think so. Rolling in both directions at 3mo., crawling and sittong on his own at 6 mo :)

Yes, but I tend to think that all clothes restrict movement so we do a lot of naked baby time :)

Nope. Didn't have an effect. I guess the jury is still out on walking, but she's been cruising for about a month now (she's almost 9.5 months).

Nope. Not at all. My daughter was slow on her physical milestones, but that didn't have anything to do with it.

Disposable diapers are a pretty modern convention, for centuries (millenia?) babies wore cloth diapers and learned to roll over and crawl and walk :).

There has been a study that they delay walking, but we didn't experience delays with sitting or rolling. Frankly, I'd rather not have my kids walk so early!

Tell them to shut it. Some babies just do things later than others. C didn't start rolling until 6 months.

@Lindsay05: That's a good way to look at it! They'll just be extra strong :)
@FutureMrsMcK: Sometimes I try tummy time, etc with a disposable on or with him naked and he doesn't do anything differently so I'm pretty sure it's not the diaper.

My husband had this concern too. Our solution was just a lot of diaper free time. LO was never behind on milestones. It is important to make sure CDs aren't too tight by checking to see if they leave imprints on your baby's skin.

Not at all. And we had to double up her CD because she is a heavy wetter. Maybe it was harder to sit on her own because she was a little unbalanced but I think it actually made her work on her balance more.

My husband and mom are convinced that the bulkiness of the cloth diaper is the reason that LO hasn't yet rolled over and they think that it's going to be harder for him to sit up/crawl with the cloth diapers as well.

Have you noticed that wearing cloth diapers inhibited your LO when trying to reach certain physical milestones? I don't think it makes a big enough difference!
