I put the seat belt above my belly button. And I kinda make it snug, but not too snug. Sometimes i go without the seat belt, but it makes me feel more secure knowing that baby is snug in there. When I first used the Moby, i guess I put it to low, by my belly button, and I always felt like he was too loose.

Yep, what @beachmama said. I pull on the two pieces going over my shoulders, which makes the X on my back higher. This usually makes everything tighter.

I went to a class on wearing different wraps and slings. I started out w the Moby but ended up buying a Boba wrap but they're essentially the same, just different fabric. In the class she tightened everything by pulling on the two parts crisscrossed on your chest, thereby making the straps across your back come up higher and tighter, then retucking any extra loose fabric down through the seatbelt. She did this a few times til everything was tight. It really helped. I hope this makes sense!

I am not sure if this answers your question but I always felt like the "seatbelt" was more of a formality. I felt like the baby was very secure even before I pulled it up. I don't think it needs to be too tight.

So, I have a Moby wrap. DD who is almost 6 weeks really likes to be in it, but I have questions on how I am wrapping it. I can't seem to get the "seatbelt" part on the outside to be tight enough. I tie it to my body so that it's right against my belly, but it always winds up too loose. I don't want it to be unsafe, so I wanted to see if there were any tips you Mommas have! Is there a trick to tying it tight enough? I feel like when I have it tight, then it's too high on my body (if that makes sense). It's probably due to be washed, so that may help a little if it's just stretched out from being used a couple of times.
