It's a glue type substance that comes out of a dispenser (see link). I use a lot of it because I scrapbook but I also would buy one of these and just use it for a baby book if I weren't a scrapbooker. It makes life very easy. You can get it at any craft store (I usually buy it at Michael's if I'm in a bind.
