I don't think there was a correlation. I would just be careful to not go a day without a bottle and you should be okay. However, I always figured the nipple shield may have had something to do with her willingness to easily switch between breast and bottle. When your LO weaned from the shield did you have issues with bottle refusal? That's really just not an option for us since she's in day care! </p>
