We had the same issue with our little one and to be honest we just did it cold turkey and he was fine.

My twins slept inswings for almost three months. It wasn't too bad of a transition. They took to their crib pretty well

LO has been sleeping elevated (actually in a nap nanny) since she came home from the hospital to help reduce reflux/choking. She's six weeks now and those issues have gotten significantly better, so we're ready to move her out of the nap nanny in our room and into her crib in her room. Was the transition from elevated to flat sleeping hard for anyone? I've yet to make the switch cold turkey because switching for naps has been so difficult.
